This conference is a
hyper drawing board for the future. In the last few years; we
have been injecting our students with new theories and memes to
be added to their architectural vocabulary. The outputs this
year are new hyper professional scenarios within it. These
realms reshape time from presentation to representation instead
of letting time and global forces shape our educational values.
The global forces have exploded our conventional architectural
reality. The 20th century has managed to transfer the
imagination to reality, while the 21st century
promises to transfer the reality into meaning vision and
virtuality.
A new parallelism
theory and focal shift took place, as the marriage between
science, technology, ecology and virtuality has exceeded our
architectural imagination and education. The new architect has
to free him\herself from the pre-stress of mind and conventional
ideas by unloading and reloading their education with a
professional reality to represent themselves as new actors as
new interactive people with practice.
This conference is a
mirror of time moving to reflect the gap between the classroom
and the open world to be the symmetry between pedagogy and
synergies and between academic philosophy and events. What
are the futuristic reasons produced from the de-massification of
our academic life to present and represent our professional
reality?
This event is a neo
festival of ideas and thinking of linking and bridging. Linking
the university degree with the stamped professional degree;
bridging the gap between the indoor classroom to an open world
with no constraints and barriers. The mission is to open windows
to our classrooms with new glasses. Those new eyes don’t have to
deal with the boundaries of place, time and political aspects to
foresee the future as interactive ideas to think globally and
when they act locally they manufacture their own identity.
One dimension of our
conference is a new technological theme,
“Philosophy of
technology begins when genetics quit.”
To recall our physical pencil way of thinking
is not the way of acting now. Time is able to change the
academic reality to another professional hyper textual reality.
The speed of our previous university studio does not fulfill the
global satisfaction of our human reality. In the indoor
pedagogy, the technological tools influence the architectural
thinking, but in practice, the technological tools should
develop themselves to match the speed of pilot thinking in the
outdoor professional realm.
Today there is a new
game; Neo architects are the players. Practice on the
professional level has changed our era and changed the meaning
of our education, to have new speed of time-moving and new speed
of professional representation.
“Nothing is constant, but all dimensions are variables.”
Who is the leader, the academia or the professional realm?
How the academia
foresees the practice and how the practice reshapes the
educational reasons. It is a new parallelex studio of two
different realities; (The virtual educational and hyper
professional), (The iconic site and the synergetic locations),
(The static fractal and the very dynamic) and (The presentation
and representation). We are not looking to the educational
spirit of the age, but we are jumping, bridging to the new
professional memes, and scenes of the day.
How to live in
parallel? The university studio design of, (How to make?) and
the professional reality of (What to Make?), (How making will
create reality?) and (How remaking will activate a new reality?)
(What is the image? And what is reality?) (Do we start with the
image to predict reality? or we compress the professional
reality to be an educational image?) (From lab to sky-lab to
lab) No time to shift, no time to dislodge, but it is jumping,
linking and bridging.
Themes for linking
and bridging between academia and professionalism:
1.Time moving to a place
to become a location to accept different scenarios on the
architectural and urban level.
2.New bridging pilot
thinking for landscaping design reforming the space
planning.
3.Image and reality (from
practice to theories and vice versa)
4.Philosophy of technology
begins when genetics quit, thus a new studio of foal shift
thinking will emerge for new reasons.
